YouTube Beauty Vloggers

Here are my absolute favorite beauty vloggers. Casey was my first obsession, and the other 3 are my new obsessions. I love their style and everything that they do. I truly trust there advice 100%. I have purchased several products at their request and I have not been disappointed once.

Milani Baked Blush in 'Luminoso'

I can't stop using this blush. It's my new go-to blush everyday. I am admittedly a beauty snob sometimes and only use mostly high end makeup products.

However, Casey Holmes, my favorite beauty vlogger has raved about it multiple times. I just had to pick it up, and I was so glad that I did.

I had only used a cool toned pink blush my whole life. I never really ventured into different colors. I used Estee Lauder blush in Pink Kiss for 5 years. 'Luminoso' is peachier than I was used to and I wasn't sure if I would like it. But I LOVE it.

Despite being a drugstore product, it still works amazingly well. It is buildable and not too shimmery. It's a perfect shade for my skin tone, which is pretty light but not entirely fair.
It's affordable at around $8-9. Purchase from Milani.

MAC Eyeshadow in 'Soft Brown'

I couldn't live without this as a transition shade. A transition shade is the color that goes in your crease and almost up to your brow bone. It helps give a gradient effect with the lid color and gives you a warmer and more complete look. This shade is unique. A lot of the time there are shadow colors you can easily find in the drugstore and what not. Not this one. This shade can only be found at MAC. Closest dupe is by Makeup Geek, but I've never personally used those products. I just constantly hear about them on Youtube.

It is a warm brown shade. It has some orange undertones when I put it on my eyes, which I love. I use it with warm and cool shades. I'm obsessed. It was recommended to me from several YouTubers. I had been searching for the perfect transition shade and I finally found it in Soft Brown. I also like Tease by Urban Decay for cooler shades, but nothing can beat Soft Brown for me.

You can purchase it for $15 in the packaging. I opted to buy a MAC eyeshadow palette so that I can purchase the shadow refills, which cost $10. The eyeshadow palette is $10 with the eyeshadow insert. I think it is well worth the investment if you are a MAC shadow type of person, as it ends up being cheaper in the end.

If you are going to order online with MAC, sign up for their e-mail first. They routinely send me coupon codes for free overnight shipping and what not.

All in all, you can't go wrong with MAC eyeshadows. Specifically their matte shades, and specifically 'Soft Brown'.

MAC 'Riri Woo' Lipstick

This is my FAVORITE red lipstick. I could not live without it. I blindly purchased it from the Riri Hearts MAC collection back in January. It is the best shade of red I have ever seen. It makes my teeth look ridiculously white.

Like, so white that people probably think I photoshop my teeth in pictures (I don't).  It's a matte shade. It takes a bit to get used to as it feels dry, but it stays put. I reapply maybe once per night, and by night, I mean when I'm out and drinking. It's the longest lasting lipstick that I own, and I personally only wear MAC lipsticks.

I recommend using a lipliner as well. I use riri woo, and it works great as well. But you could probably use any red lip liner by MAC pro long wear.

Unfortunately, this was a limited edition product. Unless you want to shell out around $50 or so on Ebay for the adorable packaging, you won't be able to get this exact lipstick. HOWEVER you are in luck. Most limited edition MAC lipsticks that are in celebrity collections are shades taken from already permanent MAC shades with a different name.

Ruby Woo by MAC is basically identical to Riri Woo, if you're interested :)

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

I regularly watch YouTube beauty vloggers. They are always raving about primers. Truthfully the only reason I tried it was because I received a sample size with my Naked 3 palette (genius marketing move, well played, UD). My eyeshadow always stayed on decently well, so I never saw a point in investing in a primer.

Well boy, was I wrong. This stuff is AMAZING. It is not just about the long lasting power. The eyeshadow itself goes on more vibrantly, and more evenly. It makes all the difference.

But let's talk about the lasting power. It is literally like magic in a bottle. I was wearing l'oreal eyeshadow, which is a drugstore brand and normally would fade quicker, right? Wrong. I had it on for legitimately 36 hours. It looked just as good as when I had first put it on. Legit. Sometimes when I wash my face in the shower with just water (I don't use any soaps or cleansers because my pores clog easily), sometimes I'll come out of the shower and there are still traces of my eyeshadow left that I have to wipe off! I was at a beach in the Hamptons and a wave hit me in the face, and, you guessed it, my eyeshadow was still perfectly intact.

To summarize, this stuff is pure magic. Needless to say, I purchased a full size version.

Purchase from Sephora, $20

First Blog Post!

Whenever I fall in love with something, whether it be a person, product, song, restaurant, anything - I feel the urge to tell everyone that I know how much I love it and why. It's never as fun to talk about said things to people who don't share the interest. So I may as well just talk to myself on here, in addition to whoever decides to read this. I don't really need a lot of people to read it, or really anyone. I will use this to simply rave on and on about something that I'm currently obsessing over.

There are plenty of things we all hate out there. This way I can focus some more energy on things that I love instead :D
